Would you like to see a Dark Donnie in the new series?

I would like to see Donnie become dark, depressed, dreadful and turn into the exact opposite of his usual personality. He becomes this way partly because he feels sad that he might never win April's heart. He then turns him self (mistakenly) into some kind of monster (like a Dark Donnie (2k3) type monster) later in the new TMNT series. (just to let you know, I remembered the old series, but I don't remember it that well and I only watched some episodes)

Now, this is the kind of stuff that some fans don't like to see because they don't want to see their precious Donnie be sad like this (or other reasons), but not only I see this as an quite interesting story then the usual TMNT plot, but maybe this can be some kind of eye opening for Donnie as far as him and April/Apriltello goes. Maybe he would finally get over his crush on April? Maybe April would finally nodice his true feelings about her and she will finally be with him? Or maybe both would happen?

What do you guys think about this? Would you think it would be interesting too? Would you like to see something that's slightly different then this? Do you think Nick would allow this darkish storyline to do made into an episode? I want to hear your thoughts and opinions on this.
